Banking and Securities Law
The lawyers staffing the Banking and Finance Law practice group advise and support clients who are engaged in developing activities that fall under the supervision of the Financial Markets Authority (Autoriteit Financiële Markten - AFM) and De Nederlandse Bank (DNB) and also assist clients in their relations with the banking world. The practice group takes care of license applications to the AFM and DNB on behalf of securities intermediaries and investment funds. The practice group knows how best to approach the AFM and DNB to obtain the most beneficial outcome for their clients. They also know their way around the bank departments for special or intensive management. They advise their clients in formulating strategic targets and, as a result of their experience, are able to structure, and if necessary conduct, negotiations for their clients. The lawyers of the Bank and Securities Law practice group:
are experienced negotiators
advise on and supervise the setting up of securities institutions and investment funds
supervise and structure company financing and securities transactions on the private capital market
draft contracts
supervise the creation of and termination of credit facilities with the banks
negotiate with the departments of special or intensive management at the banks.
